DAVIDO, FALZ, KENNYBLAQ, TOKE MAKINWA, NAMED IN AFRICA YOUTH AWARDS’ 100 MOST INFLUENTIAL YOUNG AFRICANS LIST

The Africa Youth Awards has released its annual list of 100 Most Influential Young Africans for 2018.

26 African countries were represented on the list with Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana and Tanzania taking the lead with 20, 17, 12 and 8 representatives respectively.

The list features politicians, activists, entrepreneurs, entertainers, digital influencers, philanthropists & athletes across 10 distinct categories who are blazing various trails and promoting the positive image of Africa across the globe.

Speaking about the publication, Prince Akpah, founding President of Africa Youth Awards, said that the current list features a record 90 new entrants and 43 females.

According to him, this year’s honourees were listed for their individual and collective contributions towards positioning the image of Africa as frontrunners in their respective fields. He also urged other young Africans to emulate the footstep of the listed individuals and join them to make Africa a better and safer place for young dreamers.

Notable among the 2018 honourees are Uganda’s Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu(Bobi Wine), Togo’s Farida Bemba Nabourema, Egypt’s Mohammed Salah, Nigeria’s DavidoFalz, KennyBlaq, and Tomi Adeyemi Idaminabo, Guinea’s ABD Traore, Kenya’s Xtian Dela, South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest and Tanzania’s Ali Kiba.

Youngest duos on the list include musician Nasty C from South Africa and Nigeria’s social entrepreneur, Wadi Ben-Hirki at 21 years.

The list was compiled in partnership with Avance Media, mynaijanaira.com and Made Marketing Group presents an opportunity for young Africans to stay committed to their individual causes and continue to blaze trails across their various fields.
