OONI OF IFE AND THE PHOTO WAKA INITIATIVE

The Photo Waka series which is a trademarked initiative of Bakare Mubarak, the tallest model in sub saharan Africa, received a boost recently, as his Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Oginwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, graciously accepted to be the Grand Patron for the initiative.

His letter conveying this information reads in part, “Arole Oodua is proud of your effort in unifying and impacting the country through your initiative, ignoring all barriers of Tribe, Religion, Sex and Age.

Your initiative falls in line with His Majesty’s global charge on unity, peace and living in oneness, but most importantly, of using one’s resources and gifts to enhance his community”.

The Photo Waka initiative whose maiden edition took place in Ilorin, is a tool for positive imaging and tourism push in Nigeria and Africa, as it involves exposing tourism sites and potential across the country via modeled photographs and video clips, unifying tribes, cultures and religions.

The next edition will hold in Ile Ife from February 25-27, 2019, showcasing the tourism attraction of the cradle of Yoruba civilization.
