WHY EIN IS VISITING PACELLI SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND AND PARTIALLY SIGHTED

Education is the premise of progress in every society, every family, and every individual irrespective of gender, social standing or physical impediments. However, despite the importance of indiscriminate education to the individual and nation at large, the least attention is paid to the education of the blind. Infact, many people believe that the blind cannot be thought to read. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Blind people are no different from the average person. The blind can become the next genius.

We at EIN therefore want people to see us this day and know that there is a strong need for people to send their blind children to school, and not restrict or deprive them of their right to liberation and entitlement to education.EIN is a non-governmental organization (NGO) made up of event vendors from across Nigeria.

Pacelli School for the blind and partially sighted children is located in Surulere, Lagos with a mission to inculcate into each pupil a true spirit of independence and self-reliance that will enable them to grow up into self actualised citizens. The school has recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with color and style, with notable dignitaries in attendance, including Danlami Bashiru, Director of the Anglo-Nigeria Welfare Association of the blind (ANWAB) among others.
On the 29th of October 2017, the EIN will be attending church service with the children, afterwards, we all will have breakfast together before starting our speaker series that features notable guests like Mr. Cobhams Asuquo (multi-talented music producer) and Mr. Kelly Blind (comedian and O.A.P Wazobia FM). Also, included are networking, mixing, mingling, greeting and loads of side attractions such as bouncing castles, train rides, face painting, etc.

“We make a living by what we get… but we make a life by what we give”-Winston Churchhill.
