Born on the 14th October 2001, Cheese Boy hails from Delta State, Nigeria. The Benin-born artiste is set to take the music scene by storm after making a debut release with the song “Jerry” currently out on all digital platform. With hopes and dreams, Cheese Boy moved from Benin to Lagos to pursue his dreams and musical aspirations and with the current buzz and style the crop of musical talents from Benin city likes of Rema and Shallipopi are bringing to the Nigeria music space, its evidence that Cheese Boy is on the right part, debuting by launching the release of “Jerry”, an Amapiano driven blessed with heavy drums and interesting lyrical record produced by Rhaffy, the song implies the drive and determination to work and hustle for more without relenting, irrespective of the level of success already achieved.
Asked why he chose the name Cheese Boy, he says “Cheese boy, is a general word for a guy with cash in Nigeria , it was inspired from the popular animation Tom and Jerry, with Jerry as my Focus, the smart and calculative mice who some how always find a way to avoid being caught up in problems and ends up executing all his missions.”
Currently preparing for his debut EP Project with a soon to be announced release date, Cheese Boy is expected to consistently serve the music space with his unique style of music, blending heavy dance and hip-hop influenced records, with lyrics revolving around, hustle, Nature, Love, Pain and Dreams.
