Street-hop sensation Portable is gearing up to release a new EP titled Ogo Wanted, which appears to reflect his recent legal troubles with the Ogun State government.
The singer was recently declared wanted by the police on multiple charges, including conspiracy, assault, and weapons possession. However, he later surrendered at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) before being transferred to the Ogun State Police headquarters.
During his court appearance, Portable pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of ₦20 million. The court also placed restrictions on him, ordering that he refrain from discussing the case on social media. His trial is set to continue on March 5, 2025.
Despite these legal hurdles, Portable has taken to Instagram to promote his new EP, Ogo Wanted. In a teaser post, he confidently declared that his music career is more lucrative than internet fraud, commonly referred to as “Yahoo.”
His caption read: “Ogo Wanted. Music money pass Yahoo. Zeh Nation, many inspiration.”
Fans are eagerly awaiting the project, anticipating the singer’s signature energetic style and bold storytelling.
