Nigerian international pop star, Tiwa Savage seems to be on a streak of records smashing. The singer has just become the first African female artiste to win the MTV Europe Music Awards #MTVEMAs. This comes barely two months after her groundbreaking Indigo at the 02-headline concert in London.
The award ceremony held at the Bizkaia Arena (Bilbao Exhibition Centre) in Barakaldo, near Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. Tiwa Savage was pitted against; Shekhinah (South Africa), Nyashinski (Kenya), Fally Ipupa (Congo), Distruction Boyz (South Africa) and of course Nigeria’s own Davido who won the award in 2017.
