Asake Announces African Tour “Money Africa Tour”

Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake is set to launch a continental African tour, with a kickoff event in Nairobi, Kenya, this December.

Fanatics should mark their calendars for 20th December, when Nairobi gets the curtain-raiser, followed by Lagos on 24th and Côte d’Ivoire on 27th. The demand for an Asake tour in Africa is undeniable, and an official announcement would be met with immense excitement.

This tour is more than just concerts — it’s Asake’s grand return to the continent in 2025 after months of recording, streaming hits, and spreading buzz overseas. His fans have already been treated nicely this year with smash singles like “Why Love” and the Tiakola-assisted “Badman Gangsta”, both racking up huge streaming numbers across Africa.

Not only that, but Asake hasn’t been shy about guest appearances — teaming up with big names like Young Jonn (“Che Che”), Olamide (“99”), UK rapper J Hus (“Gold”), and Gunna (“Satisfaction”) to keep his sound diverse and his reach wide.

While details on venues and ticketing for the Nairobi show are still under wraps, this December lineup is already shaping up to be one for the books — and not just because of Asake. With other major acts like American singer Joe, Solfest, and Blankets & Wine also on deck, the city’s entertainment calendar is lit.

Asake has racked up more than 5.6 billion streams to date. His third studio album; Lungu Boy, was released last year, with the release noting that it currently ranks among the top 20 most streamed Nigerian albums of all time.

This summer, he announced the release of his fourth studio album, MONEY, on his newly launched label, Giran Republic.
