For Nigerian photographer Majekobaje Oluwafemi Joseph, better known as Oluwafemi Visuals (OVS), photography isn’t just a profession; it’s a way of seeing the world.
A lifestyle and event photographer with a growing reputation in the entertainment scene, OVS has worked with some of Nigeria’s biggest names, including Shoday, Fola, Terry Apala, Bella Shmurda, TML Vibez, Rybeena, Poco Lee, Kogbagidi, Pasuma, and Yhemolee among many others.
Like many others, his story didn’t begin under bright stage lights. His love for pictures dates back to his secondary school days, when curiosity met creativity and a simple hobby turned into a lifelong passion.
“For me, great photography is about depth of feeling, not depth of field,” he says. “Behind every picture, there’s a story. The whole point of taking pictures is so that you don’t have to explain things with words.”
That belief has become the heartbeat of his craft, capturing raw emotions, fleeting expressions, and the stories that unfold between moments.
