Davido announced the release of the 17-track album on his social media pages in the early hours of Friday.

This album houses 17 tracks and features Nigerian artists like The Cavemen, Fave, Asake, Beninese-French singer-songwriter Angelique Kidjo, British-Nigerian rapper Skepta, South African music producer/DJ Musa Keys, and Jamaican dancehall/reggae singer Dexta Daps. On the release on the album, Davido said, “At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least. I recall sitting and staring over the ocean not too long ago, wondering if I could get here again, after all I’ve been through… but with your love and support, we made it. I’m not sure what comes after this but I wanted to give you my heart, soul and energy. Today I present you “TIMELESS”.

So many people to thank who helped make this happen but first, I must send a special thank you to the strongest woman I know, @thechefchi ! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And to all my supporters – I love you.”

The singer also revealed this while answering questions about his latest project, said the Mavin boss suggested the title ‘Timeless’ to him via Instagram message sometime last year.

He said he almost chose a different album name but eventually settled for ‘Timeless’, as suggested by Don Jazzy.

All of Davido’s three last album titles have the word “time” in them: his sophomore album was entitled ‘A Good Time’, his third studio album was named ‘A Better Time’, and his fourth and latest album is titled, ‘Timeless’.
