Fans might just have to wait a little longer for Davido’s highly anticipated album; 5ive initially scheduled for March 2025.
Following the initial confirmation of a release date for Davido’s forthcoming album, ‘5ive,’ and with fans eagerly looking forward to the scheduled date, the latest report about the album might break the hearts of fans and music lovers alike.
It has been revealed that the official release date for David’s first project since the successful release and the wide acceptance of his album, “Timeless” has been moved from initially scheduled March 14, to April 18, 2025.
Although the singer and his team have not released an official statement to this effect, the latest update on the digital streaming platform, Apple Music known for providing album pre-release dates and track-list confirmed that the album is now scheduled for April 18, 2025,
Many are speculating that the upcoming Ramadan fast influenced the change. Initially set for release on March 15, 2025, the album will now drop on April 18, as updated on Apple Music.
Some fans praised him for showing respect for Islam by avoiding a release during the holy month.
An X user, Damilola, wrote: “Davido postponed the album, very good decision. You can’t drop an album during fasting and expect good results. It’s common sense. He respects the Islamic religion. GOAT!”

Another fan, Dhavidote, echoed a similar sentiment, stating, “Davido postponed the album release because of Ramadan, legendary ting!”
Similarly, Bash_berry77 commented,“Better… after Ramadan, we attack!” while atandaakeem79 added, “March is for Ramadan. April for 5ive. Nice one!”
Davido’s 5ive album follows his 2024 project Timeless, which produced global hits like Unavailable and Feel. With fans eagerly anticipating the new album, the one-month delay has only intensified the buzz around its release.
