MISS OJULOGE OPENED NEW PATHS FOR ME – QUEEN TITILOPE

Queen Titilope Adegbenro talks about her journey since winning the first edition of Miss Ojuloge Beauty Pageant

Queen Titilope Adegbenro stunned everyone when she emerged as winner of prestigious beauty pageant, Miss Ojuloge. She had not been regarded as one of the favorites during the outset of the competition, but as the pageant wore on, she began displaying an amazing set of intelligence and awareness to tasks given to them.

By the time, the finals came by; she swept every task accorded her with unexpected grace and thus cementing her place as queen and winner of the 2017 edition of the pageant.

The Ondo State born graduate of Chemistry from the Olabisi Onabanjo University is the first and only female child in a family of 7. Despite being an only girl, she still grew up with the understanding of being responsible for those around her.

This attribute coupled with a strong mind-set led her to keep learning and trying new things.   “I engage myself in skill acquisition. I am an optimistic person; I love traveling, cooking and most especially making new friends. I am a woman of my word. I hate dishonesty.”

What does it fell like to be a beauty queen and wear a crown?

Been a beauty queen is a huge responsibility. Once the crown is on d head my etiquette change; I forget the past and focus on the present once the crown is on my head.

How would you describe your journey since you were crowned the winner of the Miss Ojuloge Beauty Pageant?

My journey since I have emerged as the winner has been the best so far especially having my CEO and the runner up around because they have always been supportive.

Is the journey turning out to be what you expect?

Yes, it is turning out in more ways than I expected.

What were the attractions of the crown?

What actually attracted me to the crown is the zeal to help and impact knowledge to my people.

What is your ultimate aim in life?

My ultimate aim in life is to be happy; to achieve personal growth; to be true to myself and not follow the crowd; to accept people, other things and myself as they are.

Do you think beauty pageants help or hurt our societal views about women?

Beauty pageants helps women to gain courage and be able to express themselves educate people and influence them in a positive way; it helps women to build their self-esteem.

About gender equality, do you think women are given the same opportunities as men?

Women are given opportunities as men in popular scene but we can’t overshadow men in our culture because they are made the head and ever will they be. Women can excel without the unnecessary comparison between genders. The purpose of feminism is not the nervous battle of gender going on presently.

 What do you think makes you stand out from the other girls that made you won?

I prepared myself for it and I was well equipped as well but most importantly my “hard work “.

What does true beauty mean to you?

True beauty comes from one’s soul; being beautiful in & out, to portray good character; to be trustworthy, honest, truthful, helpful and kind, to always put on a smiling face even when you are in a bad situation.

So far, what would you say you’ve gained from this pageant?

I have gained a lot from dis pageant. Aside from money-oriented or any other material possessions, I learnt how to respect dis very culture of ours; I got back my confidence from this pageant, I never dreamt of been an actress but I got to be one through this pageant.

What can you say about Miss Ojuloge Beauty Pageant?

Miss Ojuloge beauty pageant is a platform to promote culture & moral values through modern age fashion, more so to seek global advancement for Nigerian women in d society and to change the upbringing of the new generation by raising ladies who would rather find fulfilment in being the best version of them.

 What is your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievement is being able to still find ways to learn and grow everyday.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?

I hope to be an international model and give in my best to d brand I will get assigned to

 What is your philosophy in life?

My philosophy of life is “The only thing standing between you and your dream is RELUNTANCE
