Victor Osimhen scored for Galatasaray just 24 hours after becoming a father for the second time. He dedicated the goal to his daughter Liora during a 4-0 Super Lig win against Konyaspor on Friday.
The Nigerian striker opened the scoring in the 12th minute. He rose above the Konyaspor defence to head home Gabriel Sara’s free-kick, giving the visitors an early lead at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium.
Galatasaray extended their advantage with Yunus Akgün in the 28th minute. Aleksey Batrakov and Rafael Leão then added two more goals after the break.
The Turkish champions announced the news on their official social media channels and received congratulations from fans and the media in Nigeria and Turkey.
Galatasaray’s statement read: “Our Football A Team player Victor Osimhen and Stefanie have welcomed a baby girl into the world.”
They extended their congratulations to the couple and wished their newborn Liora Audrey a long healthy and happy life.
Liora Audrey is the couple’s second child together.
