Demand for Afrobeats keeps rising all around the world and Nigerian DJ’s are contributing their own quota in putting Nigeria on global stages. One of such versatile DJ’s is Adio Abayomi Olanrewaju, professionally known by the stage name DJ Ruphy.
DJ Ruphy is an inferno of energy that leaves the dance floor LIT. His ability to trill and entertain different type of audience across the world stood him out from the pack, thanks to his skills and dexterity behind the wheels of steel. DJ Ruphy born and raised in Ajegunle, Apapa in Lagos State but hails from Oyo State, Nigeria. He’s a street boy who has a great love for music and a burning passion to be a known DJ.
DJ Ruphy plays for Voice Of The Streets (VOTS) owned by Africa’s top hip hop act, Olamide and he is a prominent name when it comes to street mix-tapes coming out of Alaba International Market, Lagos.
He also played alongside veteran industry disc jockeys such as DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Humility and DJ Tee in a largest deejays marathon mix covered by Guinness Book Of World Record at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In 2022, DJ Ruphy won Top Naija Best DJ. He also toured Dubai where he performed at United Arab Emirates top clubs and also received Afrobeat DJ Recognition Award.
DJ Ruphy who is known as a “sauce for the party” with his creative Face Mask is getting set to go on a summer tour of the UK where he will be performing across different cities in the United Kingdom. DJ Ruphy is also working with Nigerian-born, UK based event organizer cum travel consultant, Billyque as a DJ.
He has released series of hit mix-tapes across multiple platforms and he’s surely one DJ that knows how to rock the party and get the people onto the dance floor.
