Nigerian R&B veteran announced that he would come of retirement and release a currently unnamed album.
Banky W has given his fans something exciting to look forward to in 2020.
The singer has promised that next year, he will be dropping “at least” one more album, and obviously we’re excited.
Banky W revealed this on Twitter, when a fan expressed how much he has missed Banky as a musician, even though he appreciates Banky the politician, actor and activist.
The last time Banky W actively released an album was R&B W which dropped in 2013. His last recognizable single was ‘Mi Re Do (Cocoloso)’ featuring Stonebwoy and Shaydee – it dropped in 2016. In 2017, the singer also released EP, Songs About U.
Around that time, he also announced the closure of his record label, Empire Mates Entertainment just before running to become a member of the house of representatives in 2019. During that run, he announced his retirement from music.
