Tell us about yourself, family and educational background?
Ugbekile David Osemeke a.k.a Boy Spyce. I was born on the 10th of May 2001 and I hail from Edo State in Nigeria.
I was born in Lagos and grew up in Jakande Estate Isolo . I am from a family of six children and I am the last born. I attended Lagos State Model College Kankon, Badagry, where I represented the school for multiple music competitions. I’m currently an undergraduate studying Accounting.
When did you discover you could sing?
That was when I was in Primary school. I think I was in primary 5 when I wrote my first song and made up my mind that music is my thing
How would you describe your kind of music?
I would describe my music as a crossover of Fela, Davido and Ed Sheeran.
Who writes your songs?
I do the writing myself.
What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs?
I sing about a whole lot of things. As time goes you will get to hear more of my music.
What makes your music unique?
I have very uncommon lyrics and my music is diverse. You can see me singing a Fela type of song today and tomorrow am doing a John Legend type of song. I keep surprising you.
What inspires your songs?
My songs are inspired by my state of mind at the moment. Sometimes my songs have hidden details of my real life situations but I just switch it up.
What are you working on currently?
Currently I’m working on a very hot single but on the other hand I’m keeping up with my fans with some amazing freestyles on my social media platforms. So watch out!
Who are the artistes you wish to work with?
All my life I have always wished to work with Davido and Rihanna.
Who are your major musical influences?
The list is long. I love good music and anyone who can produce beautiful sound.
