IGGY AZALEA PARTS WAYS WITH DEF JAM MOVES TO ISLAND RECORDS.

Iggy Azalea is officially done with Def Jam, as the Australian entertainer parts ways with the predominantly hip-hop label.

After sharing her grievances with the label’s CEO Steve Bartels last year, the “Fancy” rapper moves from Def Jam over to Island Records for her future releases.

Her latest single, “Savior,” which features Quavo of Migos, was released through Island last Friday (Feb 2), which is one of the first pieces of material dropped by Iggy since signing her new deal.

According to Billboard, sources say that Azalea shifted from Def Jam to Island Records not long after her public spat with Bartels.

Iggy first signed to Def Jam back in 2013 when the Universal Music Group imprint was under the Island Def Jam Music Group umbrella . The two labels separated in 2014, but have remained under Universal Music Group since then.

Congratulations to Iggy Azalea on her new deal with Island Records.
