Made Kuti is however not the only Nigerian on the Recording Academy class of 2021. Afro-house queen, Niniola has also joined the prestigious academy this year. As she wrote when she joined;
Before Niniola, foremost music AnR; Bankulli, and Ghanaian producer, Juls were inducted into the Grammy Recording Academy class of 2020. Fellow singer, Aramide was inducted into the Grammy governance board back in 2019
The invites also confirm the Academy’s appreciation of music creators’ and professionals’ significant efforts to influencing progressive changes in the music industry.
