2017 was a big year for the Nigeria music industry; many artists had a make it and a bigger breakthrough as their hustle took them to the international scene winning awards, selling out concerts and all.
This year, we took time to look into the new artistes who are doing well for themselves and we made our own review of the artistes. Without further delay, here is the 2018 SIMPLE Freshmen Class.
Beambo Taylor aka The New Girl with the fire as she’s fondly called has been working so hard to gain her spot in the music industry. Beambo Taylor the indigenous female rapper is constantly building her fan base and her sound is what the street demands.
In 2017, Beambo came up with “Fun Won Finish” and she has not stopped ever since, she followed up with yet another buzzing single titled “Ye”, and gradually she’s winning the streets.
Beambo Taylor is definitely one act to look out for in 2018.
The indigenous rapper is on road to be the new star of the streets because he has the flows, word-play and command of the Yoruba language to achieve this.
Zlatan Ibile single “My Body” with Olamide is a certified hit and has become the new street anthem.

The golden boy signed to Aquila Records had an amazing 2017 with his smash hit “Ayepo”, the song enjoyed massive airplay on radio and he had to make a remix of the banger with Burna Boy.
Airboy also gained more ground with the release of his EP titled “Vibes”; which saw him had his own concert at the prestigious New Afrika Shrine.
Airboy is definitely one act to look out for in 2018.
Peruzzi fresh from the “30 Billion Gang”. Peruzzi is solidly back up by Davido and his empire.
TC Peruzzi; an afro-pop act is one act to watch out for because he has the ability to deliver easy to digest afro-pop dishes and he has a perfect style.
Under the body of Golden Boy Records; he released his buzzing single “For Your Pocket” with LK Kuddy, which has a remix with the label boss Davido; and currently gaining momentum.
Peruzzi is definitely one act to look out for in 2018.
LRR entertainment new kid, Yovi is currently signed to Ace rapper, Reminisce record label, Les Roses Rouge.
Yovi a.k.a the “microphone boy” is well known for his versatility, and is sui generis when it comes to his sound.”
Yovi employs Ary on the Potuguese remix to his trending single “Amen” which he also featured Mayorkun and Lil Kesh on the remix.
Yovi is definitely one act to look out for in 2018.
Dapo Tuburna currently signed to has been Tinny Entertainment, which houses Ycee and Bella. Dapo Tuburba has been grinding for so long and currently gaining space with the remix of “Nothing” which featured Olamide and his label-mate Ycee, not forgetting his latest release “African Lady”.
Dapo Tuburna is definitely one act to look out for in 2018.
Ayanfe whose real names are Fasae Williams Oluwashola was born and brought up in the ancient city of Ilorin, Kwara state.
Ayanfe is a multi-instrumentalist, an amazing singer with a high range vocal ability plus to top it all up an energetic performer. He explores a fusion that sways from Afro-soul to Folklore and Alternative. He best describes his music as “Story-Telling” and is currently signed to music record company AUDIO RELIGION WORLDWIDE under which he released his debut single ”ORI MI”.

‘Sokan Oreoluwa Samuel’, popularly known as YUNGACE is no doubt one of the fastest promising artiste in the Nigerian music industry.
YUNGACE won the Coke studio campus concert held in the UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS and this gave him a chance to showcase live on stage alongside YBNL Boss ‘OLAMIDE’.
YUNGACE is set to have our minds blown this year with soothing sounds as a lot of work is being put into place, we will be having more songs, more videos and Great time at every show YungAce will be on… #HeadsUp.

Talented Singer and Producer, Timmy signed to Cape-town based music label, Champions Global Entertainment.
Tiimmy born Ibrahim Timilehin Balogun is a young Nigerian born Afro – beat/Afro – pop singer and an adept producer who has produced and collaborated with multiple South African Artistes.
Early 2017, Tiimmy dropped his debut signle titled “Big Boy” produced by himself and mix and mastered by Foremost Sound engineer, Foster Zeeno.
The song, “Big Boy” laced with motivational words over a very groovy Afro-pop sound is a testament to a change in the status of a young man who despite insurmountable odds, makes headway in life and thus the figurative title: “Big Boy“.
