Chike’s Third Studio Album ‘Son Of Chike’ Promote Culture

Nigerian award-winning singer Chike recently released his third album titled ‘The Son of Chike’.  The album marks Chike’s third studio album, following “The Brother’s Keeper” released in 2022.

The 12-track album features previously released singles like the chart-topping “Egwu” with the late Mohbad and “Man Not God.”

In his new album, Chike pays homage to his roots, reaffirms his identity as his father’s son, asks questions of love and skillfully experiments with the iconic high-life of his eastern Nigerian heritage.

Speaking about the album, Chike described the project as a “Celebration of his heritage and identity”. He also said the body of work adds to the legacy of music and culture passed down from previous generations.

“I am Osebuka, the son of my father, and this album symbolizes and celebrates my heritage and identity as a #SonOfChike and my new musical offspring joining the ranks of those that came before,” he wrote.

The album features tracks such as ‘Unto You’, ‘Lifetime Love’, ‘Apple’, ‘Mma’, ‘Someone’, ‘Your Loss’, ‘Not Your Daddy’, ‘One Day’, ‘Balance Am’, and ‘Man Not God’. The music star collaborated with other notable artistes on the album, including Olamide, Qing Madi, and Ladipoe.

Announcing the album earlier this month, Chike said,

#SonOfChike is from me to you. I had a good time making it and an even better time knowing that I was making it for you.

I think art should be a collage of experiences and feelings. I tried putting my feelings together and making some sense of it in hopes that you would feel something I had felt or experienced something I had experience
